Born Ngo Van Hung, DJ Hung 88 is a familiar name among fans of electronic music. With 17 years of experience in both music production and DJing, he plays a pivotal role in the reality TV show DJ Star International 2024, especially the Audio round.
DJ Hung 88's journey into electronic music began at a young age. Driven by curiosity, he dedicated himself to learning and experimenting, forging valuable connections in the industry. After a month of self-study, he found a passion within himself that compelled him to pass on his knowledge to young aspiring DJs, igniting their passion for music on stage.

Throughout his career, DJ Hung 88 has mentored numerous young talents in electronic music. He expressed his gratitude, stating, "I feel truly fortunate to share my love for this genre with passionate young individuals. In the past, access to electronic music was limited, but now there are great opportunities to nurture that passion."
He reminisced about his "meeting of fate" with fellow DJs such as DJ Tit and DJ Trang Moon, highlighting their perseverance in a field lacking female representation. "Their dedication is a source of joy and motivation for me," he added.
DJ Hung 88 also emphasized the importance of his connections with international DJs. "My journey on the international stage has begun, and I aspire to continue reaching more audiences and cultures around the world," he noted.
Fair and squared in candidate selection
As part of the judges’ panel for DJ Star International 2024, DJ Hung 88 believes that finding new talent requires not only expertise but also intense commitment. "We are dedicated to discovering DJs who possess the passion and creativity to shine on stage, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones," he stated.

He explained the significance of timing and context in music, noting, "Music thrives in the right moment, allowing individuals to connect through genuine emotion. While international music delves into deeper themes, Vietnamese music focuses more on entertainment. However, the essence of music lies in its timing, creating a powerful source of inspiration."
"I want to instill the belief that young people should follow their emotions and love for this genre throughout their lives," DJ Hung 88 stated.
He concluded by highlighting the stature of his fellow judges, all industry veterans. "With their extensive experience, we will carefully evaluate the contestants' work. Together, we aim to support one another in refining our judgments of this year’s participants."
