During the meeting, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang warmly welcomed the ambassadors to Hanoi for this significant political event in Vietnam. She emphasized that their presence is a vivid testament to the friendship, international solidarity, and invaluable support for the Party, State, and people of Vietnam.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that the 14th National Party Congress is a particularly important milestone in Vietnam's development journey. It not only reviews and evaluates 40 years of Renovation achievements but also sets the development direction for the 2026-2030 period, with a vision to 2045. Through decisive and robust policies, Vietnam is poised to confidently step into a new era of development.

Briefing the ambassadors, the Deputy Minister noted that after 40 years of Renewal and five years of implementing the 13th Congress's Resolution, under the Party's leadership, with the efforts of the entire political system and the people's unity, Vietnam has achieved significant accomplishments: a GDP of $514 billion by 2025 (ranking 32nd globally), an average growth rate of 6.3% per year from 2021-2025; impressive results in the Human Development Index (HDI) and sustainable poverty reduction goals, elevating Vietnam to the group of upper-middle-income countries with an improving quality of life for its people.
Regarding foreign policy, the Deputy Minister emphasized that in the new era, Vietnam remains steadfast in its independent, self-reliant, multilateral, and diversified approach. Vietnam is a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the international community. The country prioritizes resilience in its foreign policy, viewing foreign relations and international integration as crucial, regular tasks, developing foreign relations in the new era commensurate with the nation's historical and cultural stature; comprehensive, deep, and effective international integration, enhancing multilateral diplomacy, and actively, responsibly participating in addressing regional and global issues.
In this spirit, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her hope that the ambassadors will continue to act as bridges, promoting key cooperation areas to enhance political trust, deepen economic cooperation, alongside traditional sectors like agriculture, textiles, consumer goods, and expand collaboration in new fields such as digital transformation, science and technology, renewable energy, green agriculture, and foster people-to-people exchanges, contributing to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and other countries.

Expressing their honour to attend the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the ambassadors highly appreciated the significant achievements Vietnam has made after 40 years of Renewal, particularly in maintaining political stability, socio-economic development, and expanding foreign relations. They acknowledged Vietnam's increasingly high position and prestige on the international stage and affirmed the importance of friendly and cooperative relations with Vietnam.
Wishing to further strengthen economic cooperation, promote tourism, and enhance people-to-people exchanges, the ambassadors affirmed their commitment to fostering deeper, more substantive friendly and cooperative relations with Vietnam, contributing to peace, stability, and common development.
