Congratulations to World & Vietnam Report on Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

WVR - Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang congratulated the Editor in Chief, Deputies, editors, reporters and all staff of the World and Vietnam Report on its achievement, proactive efforts in carrying out its professional journalism and political tasks in covering external activities over the past time.

On June 20, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang visited the World & Vietnam Report (WVR) on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - 2023). Acting Director of the Press and Information Department, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang also attended the meeting.

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang congratulated the Editor in Chief, Deputies, editors, reporters and all staff of the World and Vietnam Report on its achievement, proactive efforts in carrying out its professional journalism and political tasks in covering external activities over the past time. The WVR needs to continue to innovate, asserting its position as the leading foreign affairs newspaper of Vietnam, said the Deputy Minister.

Referring to the newspaper's gradual expansion of its relations with foreign press agencies, the Deputy Minister said that is a new stage of development of the agency, reaching out beyond the region.

For its further development, the World & Vietnam Report should continue to actively strengthen cooperation, coordinate closely with relevant units of the Foreign Ministry as well as other ministries and branches, seek opportunities and possibilities to cooperate with foreign press agencies, first with ones in the region, while keep on improving professional skills, foreign language skills, keeping pace with the movement of the press in the digital era, stated the Deputy Foreign Minister.

She also expressed her hope that the WVR Editor-in-Chief, his Deputies, editors, reporters and staff will be achieving "a new height" in their development path.

On behalf of all staff of the World & Vietnam Report, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Foreign Ministry’s leadership, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang in particular to the development of the newspaper.

The WVR continues to take proactive innovation, strengthen closer coordination with departments of the Foreign Ministry and determines to achieve further success, continue to raise the professional level of the newspaper, to meet the increasingly diverse needs of readers at home and abroad, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son affirmed.

The previous day, on June 19, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga also visited and had a meeting with the World & Vietnam Report's leaders and staff.

The President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) extended her best wishes to the Editor-in-Chief, his Deputies, editors and reporters of the newspaper.

Congratulating the newspaper's achievements over the years, VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga praised the efforts of the newspaper's editorial staff, in the context of extremely difficult conditions and difficult press activities today, to build the World & Vietnam Report as one of leading foreign affairs newspapers in Vietnam and increasingly gaining a foothold in the hearts of readers.

VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga also praised the strong development of the agency's online newspapers, both in Vietnamese and English version, said that it is an important premise for the development of the multimedia newspaper in the coming time.

She appreciated the efforts by the WVR's reporters and editors in covering the people-to-people diplomacy, one of the three pillars of Vietnam's diplomacy, and hoped that the WVR will cooperate closely with the Union's press agency - Thời đại or Vietnam Times - in promoting information on people-to-people diplomacy.

VUFO Chairman Nguyen Phuong Nga expressed her belief that the World & Vietnam Report will have new breakthroughs on its development path, keep on maintaining its positon in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as in press circle on foreign affairs.
