At the meeting, Editor-in-Chief of the World & Vietnam Report (WVR) Nguyen Truong Son and Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio touched upon cooperation opportunities between WVR and the Embassy of Japan.

The Editor-in-Chief emphasized the importance of Vietnam-Japan relations, especially when the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2023 (September 21, 1973 - 2023). The two sides can cooperate in making a bilingual special publication commemorating a major milestone in Vietnam-Japan relationship, exchange information on cooperation activities in order to raise awareness of the public on bilateral relations, he said.
Son also expressed his hope that the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan will develop further in the coming time in all fields from politics, economy to cultural, people to people exchanges, local cooperation, ect.

Ambassador Yamada Takio, for his part, thanked the World & Vietnam Report for the support in dissminating news on important events and activities held by the Embassy, affirmed that Embassy will closely cooperate with the newspaper in promoting the bilateral ties between Japan and Vietnam, and always accompany with the agency in publishing bilingual special publications.
The Ambassador was committed to promote exchanges of delegations, especially high-level delegations between the two countries in 2023, organize a series of events to promote economic cooperation and exchanges between the localities of the two countries.
The Embassy will also hold many meaningful activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the bilateral ties in 2023, he said, and hoped to get support from the World and Report in covering those important events.
