Coast Guard Command reviews implementation of Law on Vietnam People's Army Officers

WVR - On December 19, the Coast Guard Command organized a conference to review of the implementation of the Law on Vietnam People's Army Officers (Law on Officers), while Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army attended and Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Coast Guard chaired the event.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Tran Van Xuan, Deputy Political Commissar and Head of Politics Department of the Coast Guard presented the report, affirming that the Party Committee, the Coast Guard Command have thoroughly implemented the Law on Officers in a synchronous, close, and effective manner.

Stick closely to Law documents, strictly follow instructions, rules and regulations of superior agencies, well perform the responsibilities of Party Committees and Party organizations, and organize serious implementation at all levels, the Coast Guard Command has made an important contribution to building a team of Coast Guard officers, with a guaranteed quantity, increasingly improved quality, and appropriate structure, which have strong political courage, good working methods and style; proactively overcome difficulties and be ready to accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh acknowledged and praised the achievements and outstanding results having obtained by the Coast Guard in implementing the Law on Officers in recent years.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh requested that the Party Committee and the Coast Guard Command focus on leading and giving direction to the building of agencies and units in the Coast Guard which are truly strong in politics, ideology and organization, improving comprehensive leadership capacity and fighting power of Party Committees and Organizations at all levels. He requested the Coast Guard Command to maximize the role of organizations and individuals in making appropriate proposals, correct amendments, and supplement content for the new Law on Officers, in accordance with reality and actual condition of the Coast Guard and the task of building the Army in the new situation.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh also requested the Party Committee and Coast Guard Command to continue to lead and make strict directions on the organization and personnel work, in accordance with procedures and regulations, and strictly comply with principles of democratic centralism; pay attention to making additional source of young staff, overcoming inadequacies in age structure, regularly pay attention to ensuring good regimes and beneficial policies for staff and officers in the spirit of the motto "Timely, Correct, Sufficient, Thoughtful, Democratic, Open",suitable to specific conditions. He asked for the thorough dissemination of policies, in a full and prompt manner, especially for housing and land policies for cadre and officers throughout the force, creating conditions for officers and party members in difficult circumstances to rent official housing, receiving support for "Camaraderie houses", in the Coast Guard force. In doing so, the Coast Guard Command has contributed to reducing difficulties, motivating and encouraging cadres and party members to work with peace of mind and maintain a long-term service in the Coast Guard force and the Army.
