On November 1, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Cambodia, in collaboration with Cho Ray Phnom Penh Hospital and the Khmer-Vietnamese Association (KVA) in Takeo province, organized a charitable medical program for disadvantaged Cambodians and Vietnamese-origin residents in Takeo. The program aims to provide access to quality healthcare services and alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses.
The event took place at the KVA branch office in Roka Khnong ward, Daun Keo city, featuring practical activities such as medical check-ups, disease screening, blood sugar testing, ultrasound, health consultations, free medication distribution, and charitable gift-giving to about 500 residents.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that the program is a humanitarian activity with practical significance in healthcare cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador appreciated the support of Cho Ray Phnom Penh Hospital in community healthcare, especially for Vietnamese-origin residents and disadvantaged Cambodians.
