Charitable delegation of Dai An Pagoda supports earthquake victims in Japan

A group of Vietnamese monks, nuns and Buddhists in Japan led by nun Thich Tam Tri on January 15-17 organized a relief trip to Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Province where the earthquake and tsunami occurred.

The delegation met, visited, encouraged, shared with and gave gifts to Vietnamese interns at the training center of the Asisto Business in Hakui City; Sugiyo Company’s dormitory in Nanao City; Sunlife Refuge Center; and Intern training center in Kanazawa City.

In addition, the delegation visited and worked with the Mayor, Chief Councilor of Nanao City, and Mayor of Wajima City. The group also distributed Udon noodles and donated 14 boxes of tangerines and fruits to elderly Japanese people who were sheltering temporarily.

The total value of both cash and relief items is more than 300,000 JPY.
