Vietnamese women's football team win 6-0 over UAE in Asian Cup qualifiers

The Vietnamese women’s football team delivered a commanding performance on July 2, defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) 6-0 in their second Group E match of the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers.

The match took place at Viet Tri Stadium in the northern province of Phu Tho.

With this result, Vietnam continue to top Group E with two convincing wins, scoring 13 goals and conceding none. The victory significantly strengthens their chances of securing a spot in the finals, to be held in Australia in March 2026.

In their opening match, Vietnam overwhelmed the Maldives 7-0, while the UAE were held to a goalless draw by Guam. After two rounds, Vietnam lead the group with six points, followed by Guam and the UAE with one point each. The Maldives remain bottom of the table.

Vietnam will face Guam at 7 pm on July 5. Meanwhile, the UAE will take on the Maldives earlier the same day at 4 pm.
