On December 6, the Hoa Binh Provincial Centre for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in coordination with the Cao Phong District People's Committee held a ceremony to launch the 8th Cao Phong Orange Festival and the Trade and Tourism Fair.

The opening ceremony attracted thousands of visitors from both inside and outside the province.

There are more than 100 booths installed at the two events, displaying indigenous Cao Phong oranges, handicrafts products by local cooperatives, and One Commune One Product (OCOP) products.

In addition, visitors to the five-day events have the chance to enjoy traditional food and drinks as well as take part in various cultural, arts and sport activities and folk games.

Addressing the event, Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh Provincial People's Committee, emphasised that the two events are among activities to promote the local economic and trade development and expand cooperation between Hoa Binh Province and other localities across the country.

They also provide a venue for participating enterprises and service providers to introduce their products to consumers, seek trade partners, and expand their market.

Specifically, the provincial Trade-Tourism Fair is design to promote the consumption of local OCOP products and advertise the tourism potentials and cultural values of ethnic minorities in Cao Phong District and Hoa Binh Province in general to visitors.
