Taking place from October 26-28, these are the peak activities of Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, with the participation of ASEAN leaders, Timor-Leste, partner country leaders, ASEAN 2025 Chair's guests, and the UN Secretary-General.
With over 15 high-level sessions and activities, leaders are expected to discuss and agree on important directions and measures to enhance cooperation, expand connectivity, effectively harness new growth drivers, and address emerging challenges. This contributes to peace, stability, and development in the region and globally.
Notably, at the 47th ASEAN Summit, ASEAN is expected to officially admit Timor-Leste as the 11th member, marking a new chapter in ASEAN's development history.
Regarding documents, leaders are expected to sign, approve, and acknowledge nearly 80 documents to promote ASEAN cooperation and ASEAN-partner cooperation in various priority areas, especially in economics and trade.

Praising the host country's preparations, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang affirmed continued close coordination with ASEAN countries to ensure the successful organization of the summits, achieving many practical outcomes.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang, along with other countries, discussed important issues related to the ASEAN Community building process, support for Timor-Leste post-membership, expansion of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), review of ASEAN-partner cooperation, and enhancing the effectiveness of ASEAN-led mechanisms.
The ASEAN Senior Officials Meetings have started a series of activities within the framework of the 47th ASEAN Summit and ASEAN-Partner Summits. According to the schedule, on October 25, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meetings and the Joint ASEAN Foreign-Economic Ministers' Meeting will continue.
