The ASIA International Economic Forum and the “Asia Award 2023” Ceremony are important events to promote trade and investment cooperation between Viet Nam, Singapore, and other countries in Asia and the world. The program was organized with the following goals: creating opportunities for businesses to promote their brands and enhance their position in the international market, helping the businesses meet, learn, exchange experiences, joint ventures, partnerships, trade promotion, and investment cooperation with the reputable businesses in the region; cheer and award titles to businesses, units, and individuals with outstanding achievements in their work.

The framework of “Asia International Economic Forum 2023” with the theme “Strengthening Viet Nam - Singapore trade cooperation, prosperous ASIA” was held in Singapore last October, surpassing many famous corporations and businesses. Famous in the country and the region, Dr. Tran Nguyen Thy Binh and APU Group were honoured with the title “TOP 10 Outstanding Leaders of International Integration.” The award has once again affirmed the achievements that Dr. Thy Binh has been building for more than 30 years while opening up more growth opportunities and connections with prestigious universities in the United States and the general world.

It can be said that from consecutive achievements such as the APU American International Schools, APU was honoured in The Education View magazine as “The Most Successful International Schools in Asia, 2023” with recognition for teaching and learning achievements. as well as the school's dedication to the future success of students at all levels; is on the list of “The Most Valuable Schools to Watch in Viet Nam 2022” by international education magazine Knowledge Review, honouring educational institutions that consistently prioritize quality and liberal education in Viet Nam. Journey to a pioneering position in education cooperation between Viet Nam and the United States

Starting the journey to light the dream of bringing Vietnamese knowledge to the world in the late 20th century, Dr. Thy Binh gradually overcame many difficulties, laying the first bricks to create the runway for thousands of people. The generation of Vietnamese students is taking off and reaching far on the journey to integrate with modern global education.

In the early days, after Dr. Thy Binh returned to Viet Nam from the US to visit her homeland, she only thought about helping the miserable lives, especially orphans and disadvantaged children, with scheduled volunteer trips. Then, through the opportunities from those trips, she accidentally encountered Vietnamese children who, despite their unfortunate lives, were very eager to go to school, which prompted her to think about building an education system with international standards in her homeland. During this journey, Dr. Thy Binh could not avoid surprises and encountered countless hardships because the concept of international education was still very new to Viet Nam. However, it was those thorns and challenges that further motivated her. She was determined to realize her dream so that her fire of enthusiasm for education was lit and passed on to many generations of teachers, students, and students of APU American International Schools and American University in Viet Nam – AUV.

While waiting for a license to establish an American University in 1999, in order not to waste time, APU American International School was created in 2004 with the first campus located in Ho Chi Minh City. Continuing the success of the city facility in Ho Chi Minh City, APU added APU American International School in Da Nang City in 2015, with a campus size of more than 30 hectares. And not stopping at the secondary and primary education levels, APU Group has improved the quality of university education in Viet Nam by establishing the American University in Viet Nam - AUV with a facility in Da Nang and soon will have a new, spacious, and modern facility in the South of Viet Nam.

In addition, to meet the unique learning needs, conditions, and desires of students, APU American International School opened the Bilingual system in 2020 and started the new two-program teaching of the Viet Nam – United States program.

Moreover, APU Group is planning the American Education Village - a new milestone in the group's development journey. It is expected to be deployed shortly in the Southern Key Economic Region, bordering Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province.

APU is the first and only international school licensed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the US educational agency to teach US educational programs for Vietnamese students and international students living in Viet Nam. In addition, APU is a testing centre under the College Board, where students are encouraged to study the College Bridge Program - Dual Enrollment Program). This is a program only available at APU where Dr. Thy Binh and APU Group have comprehensive strategic cooperation with leading prestigious universities in the United States to provide American standard programs with key majors. Nowadays, more than 5,000 students have been transferred to a series of leading universities in the US, Australia, and Canada... to study and achieve much success on the path to conquering knowledge. Every year, more than 90% of students graduating from APU receive scholarships to go directly to prestigious universities in the world. Most universities in the United States give a total scholarship value each year of up to tens of millions of USD to APU without the IELTS, SAT, or ACT scores. Furthermore, AUV students can complete 3 - 4 years of bachelor's degree in Viet Nam and receive support to directly enter master's programmes at partner universities without having to take the GRE or GMAT.

Over the past 30 years, APU Group under the leadership of Dr. Binh has strongly grown, and become one of the prestigious and pioneering education systems in Viet Nam as well as the region. This is the most flagrant proof of Dr. Thy Binh's stature, thinking, and desire to innovate education and training in Viet Nam in recent years. “Every woman has the power to make a difference, to take leadership positions anywhere, as long as she puts her heart into her work,” Dr. Thy Binh once said.

Dr. Thy Binh is such a different woman. She has an enterprising spirit, is a guiding light, and inspires the passion for dedication in all teachers, staff, and students of APU and AUV throughout her life career.

When asked what motivated her to work more than 20 hours a day, Dr. Thy Binh shared, “Because of my students, the generations of students, APU & AUV students, when entering the international student arena, were very confident in asserting themselves when enrolling in the honour rolls of many prestigious universities in the world in the first semesters. That has become the driving force to help me work harder every moment to bring the best to the children.”
