Colonel Tran Van Hoa - Deputy Director and Head of the Criminal Judgment Execution Agency of the Provincial Police presided over the ceremony with the attendance of leaders of the People's Procuracy and the People's Court of Soc Trang province.

According to the President's Decision, the 2022 amnesty round, the whole country has 2,434 prisoners who are pardoned ahead of time, and 3 are temporarily suspended from serving their sentences in prison, 1 person is being postponed serving their sentences imprisonment. In which, Soc Trang province has 10 prisoners entitled to special amnesty. These are prisoners who have a process of striving, obey the rules well, make progress in the process of reform and labor.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Provincial Police acknowledged the efforts of the prisoners who were granted amnesty this time. At the same time, it is emphasized that those who are granted amnesty need to see the leniency, humanity and special attention of the Party and State. When returning to the family, the locality must actively practice and cultivate themselves, obey the law well, quickly integrate into the community, become useful citizens for society.

Also on September 1, the local police in the province simultaneously announced the decision to grant amnesty to prisoners serving sentences at temporary detention houses; organize the granting of citizen's identity cards and carry out the procedures for the amnesty to return to their localities in accordance with regulations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Le Tan Can congratulated and shared joy to the prisoners who were granted amnesty on the occasion of National Day September 2 this year. At the same time, he emphasized that receiving the decision on amnesty is the first step for a good path, so it is expected that the prisoners who receive amnesty will overcome psychological guilts, constantly strive to build a stable life in the near future.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also suggested that departments, departments, branches and localities should pay attention and create conditions for receiving procedures, support job creation, etc., so that those who are granted amnesty will soon re-integrate into the community and strive to become useful citizens for society.

Colonel Le Thanh Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Head of the Steering Committee for Special Amnesty of the Provincial Police, suggested that the police of units and localities continue to pay attention to, support and handle essential procedures when dealing with emergency situations for those who were granted amnesty returned to their localities and reintegrated into the community. Inmates who have not been granted amnesty on this occasion, should continue to make efforts, strive, and strictly abide by the law and prison rules; actively study, work and re-educate in order to soon be eligible for the leniency policy of the Party and State.
