Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes stated that the state visit of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will take place from August 31 to September 2.
During the visit, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez will engage in discussions with Vietnam's top leaders and participate in numerous significant activities to strengthen the historic and special friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez will also attend the 65th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Vietnam and visit enterprises linked to Cuba.
This marks the first visit by a high-ranking Cuban leader to Vietnam in the capacity of First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President.
The visit coincides with Vietnam's celebration of significant national events – the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes emphasized that the visit of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, takes place amid the best phase of relations between the two countries.
The relationship between the two Parties, top leaders, and political ties have been continuously strengthened and developed robustly. Meanwhile, economic, trade, cooperation, and investment relations have entered a new phase – more comprehensive, substantive, effective, and sustainable.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese people actively participate in the campaign to support Cuba, through initiatives launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, which have received warm and heartfelt responses from the entire population.
"We assess that the visit of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, holds significant importance. The visit will further consolidate and elevate the special, close relationship between Cuba and Vietnam to a new, more effective development phase", the Ambassador underscored.
Notably, the visit takes place at a time when relations between the two countries are at an excellent stage in all aspects, during the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year, and coincides with the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries – shared Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes.
