
Achievements acknowledged in eliminating dilapidated houses: Ministry
Approximately 35,000 houses have been repaired or newly built nationwide since the third session of the Central Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses on March 10, with an average of 37 makeshift houses eradicated per day in each locality, the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs reported on March 24.

According to local reports updated as of March 21, a total of 156,718 temporary and dilapidated houses had been addressed nationwide. Of the figure, 77,456 houses were completed, and construction started on 79,262 others.
Notably, the central province of Ha Tinh is determined to complete the work by May 19, achieving its goal four months ahead of the originally planned deadline of September 30.
Provinces and cities across Vietnam are making every effort to remove or rebuild substandard homes nationwide by the end of this year.
Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau haved fully accomplished their targets, with no temporary or dilapidated houses left.
