Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia celebrates 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

WVR - The Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and offered flowers at his statue, located at School No. 14, which is named after him, in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

On the morning of May 19, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere marking the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia held a ceremony to commemorate the occasion and lay flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, located on the campus of Inter-level School No. 14, which is named after him, in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

With deep reverence, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Nguyen Tuan Thanh, along with Embassy officials and staff, representatives of the Vietnamese community in Mongolia, the Mongolia–Vietnam Friendship Association, the school’s Board of Directors, and students of School No. 14, laid flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh to express their profound gratitude for his great contributions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Tuan Thanh recalled the life, legacy, and journey of President Ho Chi Minh in his pursuit of national and people’s liberation.

The Ambassador emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career stand as a shining symbol of patriotism, self-reliance, tolerance, and humanity. He devoted his entire life to the Fatherland and the Vietnamese people, and fought tirelessly for the independence and freedom of oppressed nations and for peace and justice around the world.

President Ho Chi Minh is not only a national liberation hero and an outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam, but also a great friend to peace- and justice-loving peoples around the world. He laid a solid foundation for the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Tuan Thanh expressed his deep gratitude to the Government of Mongolia, the Mongolian education sector, and especially the teachers and students of School No. 14 for their continued efforts in preserving and promoting the noble spiritual values associated with President Ho Chi Minh.

Mr. E. Gungaajav, Principal of School No. 14, expressed his great honour to participate in this meaningful event. He emphasized that the school is proud to bear the name of President Ho Chi Minh – the hero of Vietnam’s national liberation and a world cultural great man.

Mr.Gungaajav affirmed that School No. 14 continuously strives to become one of Mongolia’s leading educational institutions, worthy of being a living symbol and a bridge of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of Vietnam and Mongolia.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy and School No. 14 jointly inaugurated the new Ho Chi Minh Traditional Room at the school.

The room is a solemn place to display valuable historical images, artifacts, and films recording the imprints and activities related to President Ho Chi Minh, along with his profound quotes and teachings.

This is a very meaningful cultural space, helping generations of teachers and students of School No. 14 have opportunity to learn more deeply about the life, great career, and invaluable legacies of President Ho Chi Minh. The opening of the new Traditional Room not only contributes to educating traditions but also contributes to strengthening the solidarity, friendship, understanding, and cooperation between the youth of the two countries.
