This year’s celebration of Uncle Ho’s birthday in Guangzhou holds profound significance, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China – a major milestone in the bilateral relationship – and the 100th anniversary of the publication of Thanh Nien Newspaper (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025), which marked a pivotal turning point in the Vietnamese people's journey to find a path to national salvation.
When recalling President Ho Chi Minh’s journey to seek a way to liberate the nation, one cannot overlook the important period he spent in China. Notably, during his time in Guangzhou, he worked tirelessly – laying the groundwork for revolutionary activities in Vietnam by organizing and training cadres, conducting theoretical and communication work, and building the initial foundation for revolutionary movement in Vietnam.

Party Cell Secretary and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung presented the gift 'Vietnam - Golden History Pages' by General Secretary To Lam to the Director of the Guangdong Revolutionary History Museum. |
This is a gift of profound significance, presented on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth. It coincides with the exhibition "Revolutionary Path – Comrade Ho Chi Minh in China", which is taking place from May 10 to August 10 in Guangzhou. Even more meaningfully, it aligns with the launch of the "Red Journey of Youth Research and Study" — an initiative recently introduced by General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping during General Secretary, President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Vietnam in April.
The gift also serves as a great source of encouragement during the 2025 Vietnam–China Year of Humanistic Exchange. It reflects the effective promotion of the two countries’ revolutionary “red legacies” and the enduring stories of friendship between the two peoples — ensuring that the Vietnam–China friendship is passed down from generation to generation.
