Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai presented credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on November 22.
Ambassador Mai conveyed Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong’s regards and Vietnamese Party and State leaders’ invitation to Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi to Vietnam next year when the two countries celebrate the 70th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
The diplomat expressed his honour to assume the new role and vowed to do his best to promote the ties between the two Parties and countries for their stable, healthy and sustainable development.
The host conveyed his regards to the Vietnamese Party and State leader, saying that ties between the two countries in general have kept growing over the past years.
He suggested that the two sides fully grasp orientations to develop ties between the two Parties and countries, maintain high-level exchanges, boost mutually-beneficial cooperation and people-to-people exchange to lift the bilateral ties to a greater height in the time to come.
