Vietnam, Thailand to soon resume commercial flights

The agreement was reached during the meeting between Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son of Vietnam and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai of Thailand on the sidelines of the seventh Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Bagan, Myanmar, on July 3.
At the meeting, Son requested that the two sides promote trade growth in a more balanced way to soon achieve the bilateral trade target of US$25 billion by 2025. They will jointly organize activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam – Thailand strategic partnership in 2023.
Minister Son also suggested that the Thai side create favourable conditions for the export of food, milk and dairy products from Vietnam to Thailand, as well as soon sign a labour recruitment agreement to replace the 2015 agreement between the two countries.

The two FMs agreed to increase exchanges of high-level visits and implement cooperation mechanisms in the coming time, including organizing the ninth Vietnam-Thailand political consultation.
The two diplomats also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Minister Bui Thanh Son invited Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai to visit Vietnam at an appropriate time.
