Viet Nam welcomes initiatives to ensure sustainable use of Mekong River water
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on December 17 affirmed that Viet Nam welcomes initiatives that contribute to joint cooperation efforts to manage and use the Mekong River’s water resources sustainably, equitably and properly.

In reply to reporters' questions at the ministry’s regular press conference regarding a tool to monitor dams on the Mekong River, Hang said Viet Nam will study and cooperate in an appropriate manner to make effective contributions to the sustainable development of the river's basin.
