Typhoon No.3 (Typhoon Yagi) was the strongest storm to hit the East Sea in the past 30 years, causing significant loss of life and property to both citizens and the state. As of September 15, the storm had claimed 353 lives, with many missing, and left around 1,900 people injured. Maintaining personal hygiene, ensuring household cleanliness, and preventing disease are crucial following floods.

Through the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, Unilever has contributed 54,000 necessary products, including shower gel, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, and toothbrushes from brands such as Lifebuoy, P/S, and Closeup, valued at 4 billion VND for communities heavily affected by the storm.

Additionally, Unilever provided 14,900 products from OMO, Knorr, Vim, Lifebuoy, and P/S, worth 1.7 billion VND, through the Vietnam Women’s Union to be distributed across 10 provinces, including Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, and Tuyen Quang. Notably, the Lifebuoy brand has also awarded 30 scholarships to orphans in Lao Cai.

Unilever, partnered with the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City to donate 2,500 gift packages as part of a medical examination and medication distribution program for residents affected by the floods. Additionally, over 20,000 personal care products valued at 2 billion VND, will be sent to health officials and residents in five localities impacted by the disaster.

To support vendors in its supply chain who have been severely impacted by the floods, OrderUnow has donated 500 million VND in cash to northern traders through the Vietnam Women's Union. This timely assistance aims to help small businesses recover quickly and restart their operations.

Not only focused on emergency assistance, Unilever will work with partners to implement medium- and long-term support plans for those affected in northern Vietnam.
