Speaking at the event, President Phuc said the promotion reflects the Party and State's confidence in the two deputy ministers and urged them to continue improving themselves in every aspect, especially in strategic mindset about national security and social safety and order, and stay absolutely loyal to the Party, State, public security and people

On the occasion, he required that the Ministry of Public Security continue to drastically fight corruption, ensure political security and social safety and order, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ministry must keep a close watch of the situation and improve the capability of strategic forecasting so as to avoid being taken by surprise in any case that could threaten national interests.

He called on the ministry to continue taking the lead in the implementation of the Resolution adopted by the 13th National Party Congress, while striving to build transparent, strong, elite and modern public security forces, thus meeting requirements in the new situation.
