On behalf of leaders of the Party and State, Deputy PM Minh extended his deep gratitude to revolutionary veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers, sick and wounded soldiers, martyrs and the families of revolutionary contributors in the province.

He affirmed that the Party and State always make significant efforts to care for sick and wounded soldiers, martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers and revolutionary contributors.

During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Thanh Hoa province upheld the patriotic tradition and made great contributions to the country’s glorious revolutionary cause, added the Deputy PM.

He asked the province to make efforts to promote socio-economic development, improve the quality of local people’s lives, and that of revolutionary contributors in particular.

Deputy PM Minh also noted that the relevant agencies should pay much attention to educating younger generations on patriotism, solidarity and revolutionary traditions.

On the same day, the Deputy PM offered incense at the monument dedicated to heroic Vietnamese mothers and Ham Rong Martyrs’ Cemetery in Thanh Hoa as well as visited the nursing centre for revolutionary contributors in the province.

In addition, he visited and presented heroic Vietnamese mothers Nguyen Thi Du and Dao Thi Lan in Ngoc Trao and Truong Thi wards, respectively and wounded soldier Hoang Xuan Bao in Dong Huong ward, Thanh Hoa city.

Also on July 25, an exhibition entitled "Sentimental attachment of companions-in-arms" opened at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Ha Noi. On display are more than 300 photos, documents and artefacts featuring the great sacrifice of heroic martyrs for national independence and freedom; the care of the Party, State and army for revolutionary contributors; and efforts of sick and wounded soldiers to overcome physical as well as mental pain caused by war.
