Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu receives Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Rajpal Singh
On August 5, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu received Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Rajpal Singh for a courtesy visit.

Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu congratulated Ambassador Rajpal Singh on his assignment in Vietnam at a time when the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore is deepening with many new cooperation prospects.
He affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always value relations with Singapore, a key strategic partner in ASEAN and the region. He appreciated the comprehensive cooperation results in politics, economy, trade, investment, education, training, and people-to-people exchanges, as well as the increasingly substantive and effective friendly cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the ruling People's Action Party in Singapore over the years.
Politburo member Tran Cam Tu emphasized that regular high-level visits, contacts, and cooperation mechanisms have contributed to strengthening political trust, laying a solid foundation for the relationship between the two countries to develop more deeply, substantively, and effectively. Notably, both sides have established a Strategic Dialogue mechanism to enhance periodic exchanges between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the People's Action Party of Singapore.
Recognizing Singapore's role as one of the leading investors in Vietnam, the Standing Member of the Secretariat suggested that both sides continue to coordinate, strengthen political trust, and enhance the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms, especially the Strategic Dialogue between the two Parties. He urged for increased sharing of experiences in party building, national governance, and socio-economic development of each country. He also called for expanded cooperation in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and training of high-quality human resources, commensurate with the level of relations between the two countries. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of close, effective coordination, increased consultation, and mutual support at international and regional forums, especially ASEAN, the United Nations, and APEC.

For his part, Ambassador Rajpal Singh expressed his gratitude to the Standing Member of the Secretariat for taking the time to meet and expressed his honour to serve as Singapore's Ambassador to Vietnam during a period of excellent bilateral relations.
Ambassador Rajpal Singh highlighted the significance of the State visit to Singapore by General Secretary and President To Lam, who delivered a keynote speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue in May 2026. This visit marked an important milestone, laying the foundation for enhanced political trust and deepening bilateral relations.
The Ambassador was pleased to note the success of the VSIP model after 30 years of development in Vietnam, viewing it as a symbol of bilateral cooperation, reflecting political trust and collaboration for the benefit of both countries. He stated his commitment to actively promoting the expansion of the VSIP industrial park network, coupled with innovative development models, encouraging Singaporean businesses to increase investment in high-tech, innovation, digital economy, green transition, and strategic infrastructure sectors, thereby making practical contributions to Vietnam's development goals.
Additionally, Ambassador Rajpal Singh affirmed that party channel cooperation and the close relationship between the high-level leaders of the two countries are crucial foundations for promoting bilateral relations. He emphasized the importance of the Strategic Dialogue mechanism and confirmed Singapore's readiness to work with Vietnam to promote high-level delegation exchanges, training cooperation, strategic human resource development, and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The Ambassador pledged to work closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries, sectors, and localities in Vietnam to effectively implement high-level agreements and promote the implementation of cooperation mechanisms between the two countries, contributing to the continued strong and substantive development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore.
