Specialized maritime patrol aircraft prepared for 80th Independence Day Parade

WVR - On July 11, the Vietnam People’s Navy announced that during an inspection visit to Naval Air Brigade 954 in Khanh Hoa Province on July 10, a delegation led by Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, Commander of the Navy, assessed the unit's maritime patrol aircraft preparations for parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of Independence Day.

The brigade's leadership reported on the unit’s performance during the first half of 2025, its training efforts to master modern technical equipment, and its readiness for participation in the maritime parade marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Independence Day (September 2).

According to the report, Brigade 954 is actively conducting flight training to support the upcoming maritime parade. In parallel with its combat readiness tasks, the unit has been intensifying training to master advanced technical equipment—particularly specialized aircraft used for combat support and maritime surveillance operations.

Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem praised Brigade 954 for its dedication in overcoming difficulties to successfully master modern technologies and for maintaining a high technical readiness rate for aircraft across all missions.

The Navy Commander urged Brigade 954 to continue enhancing its training programs, developing a capable team of pilots proficient in the various aircraft in the unit's inventory, while also strictly maintaining personnel management and ensuring comprehensive unit strength and absolute safety.

Regarding the upcoming mission of flying in the parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Independence Day, the Navy Commander emphasized that this is a significant responsibility and a great honor for all officers and soldiers. The brigade must continue to prepare thoroughly, conduct safe flight training, and contribute to the overall success of the parade.
