Interviewed by Bloomberg, NHK, Akahata, TASS, the Government chief stressed the consistent stance of fighting the pandemic like fighting as though enemy with the involvement of the whole political system and society.
Vietnam has also been determined to staunch external transmission risks alongside quick isolation and effective treatment in order to protect public health and life.
To deal with the tremendous impacts of the pandemic, the Government has introduced a range of measures to restart the economy and support those affected by the pandemic.
As the COVID-19 has been basically contained, the nation has entered “new normal” and will strive to achieve the GDP growth of 4.5-5% this year, said PM Phuc.
He took the occasion to extend thanks to foreign press outlets for their comprehensive and unbiased coverage of Vietnam’s fight against the pandemic, saying it is a great source of encouragement for the Government and people of Vietnam in this fight.
