Prime Minister presents gifts from General Secretary, President To Lam to pediatric cancer patients
WVR - On the morning of September 25, in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to pediatric patients undergoing treatment at K Hospital (Hanoi).

Accompanying the Prime Minister were Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Dang Xuan Phong and leaders of the Ministry of Health.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung presented gifts from General Secretary, President To Lam and the Prime Minister to 64 pediatric patients receiving treatment there.

The Prime Minister discussed with hospital leaders and doctors about the treatment situation, inquired about the health of pediatric patients in the Pediatric Department; encouraged them to keep striving and urged parents and families to overcome difficulties, care for and motivate the children, trust the medical team, and cooperate with the hospital for the best treatment outcomes.

In recent times, the Party, State, and General Secretary, President To Lam have paid special attention to the healthcare sector and the protection and care of children. On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, General Secretary, President To Lam sent a letter to teenagers and children in the country and abroad, as well as foreign children in Vietnam.
In recent days, although General Secretary, President To Lam is on an overseas working program, through the delegations of Party and State leaders, Mid-Autumn gifts have been sent to pediatric patients and disadvantaged children at many medical and educational institutions.

As the leading specialized institution in the country for oncology examination and treatment, K Hospital has recently enhanced its professional activities, put into operation radiotherapy machines and many modern equipment, making significant progress in improving the quality of examination and treatment to meet patient needs.
K Hospital currently has three facilities in Hanoi. Each year, the hospital receives approximately 500,000 patients for examination and treats nearly 70,000 patients.

For pediatric patients, alongside specialized treatment, the hospital focuses on caring for their mental well-being, especially those undergoing long-term treatment. Many activities are regularly organized, including Children's Day on June 1 and the Mid-Autumn Festival, helping them maintain their studies, daily activities, and gain motivation during treatment.
At the event, hospital leaders expressed gratitude for the attention from the Party, State, Government, and Ministry of Health towards the hospital's activities, the patients in general, and the pediatric patients in particular undergoing treatment. The visits, encouragement, and Mid-Autumn gifts from Party and State leaders are a source of motivation for the pediatric patients and their families, contributing to their joy during this occasion and providing additional motivation during treatment.

Pediatric patient Pham Minh Chau, 11 years old, from Hung Yen (currently undergoing brain tumor treatment at K Hospital) expressed gratitude to General Secretary, President To Lam, the Prime Minister, and Party and State leaders for their attention and gifts on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as for the dedicated care and treatment from the hospital's medical staff.
