During the visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a packed schedule with approximately 30 activities. He held talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin; met with Russian President V. Putin; and had meetings with the Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, and Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu.
The Prime Minister also visited and worked with leading Russian economic, scientific research, and educational institutions; attended the Vietnam-Russia business forum; and met with top Russian enterprises, traditional friends, and the Vietnamese community in Russia. These activities aimed to boost Vietnam-Russia cooperation across all fields with specific programs and projects.
During the visit, the Prime Minister and Russian leaders discussed and reviewed the cooperation status, identifying major directions and specific measures to redefine and elevate the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, meeting the development goals of both countries.
During the visit, both sides signed an agreement to build a nuclear power plant in Vietnam, along with several cooperation agreements in energy, oil and gas, transportation, and logistics. Ministries, sectors, and localities also worked with Russian partners to promote cooperation in various fields such as railway connectivity, metro development, agriculture, science and technology, education, training, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
The Prime Minister took the time to meet with and suggest that the Russian side provide more favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Russia to better integrate and contribute to the friendship between the two nations.
With the results of the visit and the determined efforts of ministries, sectors, localities, and businesses from both countries, the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is poised for robust development, making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of each country in the new era, and promoting peace, friendship, and cooperation in the region and the world.
