Prime Minister Le Minh Hung to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit

WVR - At the invitation of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr of the Philippines, the ASEAN Chair for 2026, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung will lead the high-level Vietnamese delegation to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, Philippines, from May 7-8, 2026.

At the Summit, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung will deliver key speeches conveying the foreign policy messages of the 14th National Party Congress and Vietnam's perspectives on ASEAN's priorities. He will propose practical measures to strengthen the ASEAN Community building process, enhance ASEAN's resilience and response to changes, especially the impacts of the Middle East situation, and discuss regional and international issues of mutual concern.

With a proactive, positive, sincere, and responsible spirit, the Vietnamese delegation will closely coordinate with the Philippines Chair and other ASEAN countries to contribute to the overall success of the Summit. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with leaders of other countries to promote bilateral cooperation and discuss issues of mutual interest.

The 48th ASEAN Summit will be attended by leaders of ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretary-General.
