Politburo member Trinh Van Quyet visits Siem Reap to strengthen Vietnam-Cambodia ties

At the meeting, Politburo member Trinh Van Quyet expressed his pleasure in visiting Siem Reap province. He congratulated the province on its developmental achievements and expressed confidence that the CPP Party Committee, government, and people of Siem Reap will successfully build the province into a national economic and cultural center.
He emphasized the historical value, solidarity, and traditional friendship between the two Parties, highlighting the significant role of the good cooperative relationship between Siem Reap and various provinces/cities of Vietnam. He thanked the CPP Party Committee, administration, and people of Siem Reap for facilitating Vietnamese enterprises operating in the province, closely coordinating with Vietnam's specialized task forces in the search, exhumation, and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts, and always supporting and creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Cambodia to live, work, and study stably and long-term in the province.
Mr. Ean Khun, Central Committee Member of the CPP, Vice Chairman, and Standing Head of the CPP Provincial Standing Committee in Siem Reap, highly appreciated the visit of the Delegation to Cambodia, aimed at further strengthening the bilateral relations. He affirmed that the development of Cambodia in general and Siem Reap in particular is inseparable from the assistance of Vietnam, especially the timely help of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in liberating Cambodia from the Pol Pot genocidal regime on January 7, 1979.

Cambodia always cherishes and is grateful for the invaluable support and assistance that the brotherly country and people of Vietnam have provided throughout its historical journey and commits to doing its utmost to nurture this relationship.
Both sides agreed to coordinate in planning practical activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations (June 24, 1967 - June 24, 2027), focusing on promoting communication and education about the traditional friendship, solidarity, and mutual assistance between the two countries. They aim to enhance people-to-people exchanges, especially among the younger generation, thereby strengthening the social foundation, fostering friendly sentiments, and creating sustainable consensus and support from the peoples of both countries for the development of Vietnam-Cambodia relations.
During the working visit in Siem Reap province, Politburo member Trinh Van Quyet and Vietnamese Party's high-level delegation laid flowers at the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument in Siem Reap province.
