Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto warmly congratulated the successful 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; respectfully conveyed the congratulations from Interim President Delcy Rodriguez and Secretary-General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Diosdado Cabello to General Secretary To Lam and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam elected at the 14th Congress.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister expressed admiration and high regard for Vietnam's significant socio-economic development achievements and its growing international stature and prestige during the Renovation process. He affirmed that the Venezuelan Government and the PSUV highly value the solidarity and cooperation with Vietnam and wish to further strengthen and expand the comprehensive partnership between Venezuela and Vietnam in the new context.
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and General Secretary To Lam, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung sincerely conveyed gratitude to the PSUV leadership for sending congratulatory messages to the 14th Congress. Interim President Delcy Rodriguez and PSUV Secretary-General Diosdado Cabello sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary To Lam upon his re-election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the new term.

On this occasion, Minister Le Hoai Trung informed about the main outcomes of the 14th Congress; emphasized that Vietnam is closely monitoring the situation and shares the challenges faced by the Venezuelan people. He reiterated Vietnam's consistent stance of valuing the traditional friendship and solidarity with the PSUV, the Government, and the people of Venezuela, while affirming that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam wish to strengthen and deepen the traditional cooperative relationship, promoting practical and effective Vietnam-Venezuela relations.
The Foreign Ministers of both countries exchanged information about the recent situation of each Party and country; agreed to coordinate in restarting and effectively maintaining bilateral cooperation mechanisms, starting with the 4th Intergovernmental Committee Meeting and Political Consultations between the two Foreign Ministries. They also reviewed signed agreements, cooperation projects, and potential initiatives to develop a new agenda between the two countries, contributing to promoting the comprehensive partnership for the benefit of the people of each country and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in each region and the world.
