Dear experts, scientists, managers, business executives and talented young people,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Over more than 80 years of development and growth, Viet Nam’s diplomatic service has always taken pride in the contributions made by generations of its officials to the cause of national defence, the preservation of peace, the expansion of international relations and the enhancement of the country’s standing in the world. Throughout this journey, the diplomatic service has consistently valued the support and partnership of intellectuals, experts and talented individuals, both at home and abroad.

Today, as our country enters a new stage of development marked by both opportunities and challenges, Viet Nam’s foreign affairs are facing a range of new demands. The diplomatic service has an even greater need for officials equipped with knowledge, strong professional integrity, innovative thinking, and practical experience across a wide range of fields, from economics and science and technology to international cooperation.

I understand that you are each pursuing your own career paths and making important professional choices. Some of you have recently graduated with outstanding academic achievements; others are pursuing scientific research with dedication; still others have demonstrated their capabilities in management and executive leadership at organisations and businesses in Viet Nam and around the world. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs greatly values your achievements, experience and aspirations to contribute, and looks forward to the opportunity to work alongside you.

In this spirit of appreciation, I warmly invite you to consider applying for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ 2026 civil service recruitment exercise, either through selection under the policy on attracting and valuing talented individuals or through the regular competitive civil service examination process, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

In 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will recruit civil servants through two channels: selection under the policy on attracting and valuing talented individuals, with 10 positions available; and competitive civil service examinations, with more than 30 positions expected. Both recruitment channels are for the position of Foreign Affairs and International Integration Specialist, with successful candidates assigned to departments and directorates within the Ministry. Information on the selection process has been published on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official website (www.mofa.gov.vn) under the “2026 Recruitment” section. The announcement regarding the competitive examination is expected to be published in the coming days.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains committed to welcoming talented and dedicated candidates. I believe that, whether serving as diplomatic officials or contributing as experts and partners, each of you can make a meaningful contribution to the diplomatic service and to the development of our country.

I wish you and your families good health, happiness and success!
