The reception took place on the sidelines of the 26th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF-26).

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (R) and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China Chen Zhu.

The host expressed her belief that Chen Zhu and high-ranking Chinese delegation’s participation in the APPF-26 will make important contributions to the success of the event.

On the occasion, she also conveyed her regards to Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China Zhang Dejiang. 

Chen, for his part, believed that with thorough preparations and close collaboration of parties concerned, the APPF-26 will be a success, contributing to improving Vietnam’s stature in the international arena. 

He said close ties between the two legislatures will promote bilateral ties practically. 

Both sides agreed to increase cooperation at all levels to raise mutual understanding and share law-making experience in the near future.
