Miss Vietnam 2020 - a 'Decade of Beauties'

The Semifinal round of Miss Vietnam 2020 with the theme "Vietnam - Miracles" that took place in Hanoi and was broadcast live on VTV6, VTV9, Vietnam Television last month has left a good impression on the people of the capital as well as millions of spectators nation-wide nationwide.

With their effort, hard work and rich qualities, the 59 contestants at the semi-finals delivered attractive performances. As General Director of contest night, Mr. Hoang Nhat Nam staged meaningful performances, leading the audiences from one emotional level to another, from the love of nature, love the freshness, to the inspirational stories during the Covid-19 pandemic, the floods in the central region; from the message of a meaningful, civilized lifestyle typical for today's young generation with the spirit of "alive with love" to the pride of being "I am Vietnamese", etc to bring it all together with the message: "Vietnam - Miracles".

The performance "Ordinary wishes - Kind Vietnam" to pay tribute to the team of nurses and doctors in the days of prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic.

With that same spirit, after the semi-final night, 35 contestants qualified to the Final Round "Miss Vietnam 2020 - A Decade of Beauties" have joined a series of compassionate journeys at the Contest of Kindness with 7 meaningful projects.

In addition, the contestants and the organizing committee also called for donations to support the people in the Central region affected by storms and floods. By doing that, up to now, Tien Phong Newspaper, Golden Lotus Company and the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2020 have raised more than 12 billion dong and goods to support the people of Central Vietnam; organized two visits to hand gifts to several thousand households of ethnic minorities in Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Ha Tinh with the direct participation of the Organizing Committee, leaders at all levels, local branches, organizations at all levels, agencies, businesses and many Miss, Runner-ups, Beauties.

Under the guidance of many leading experts in performing arts, 35 contestants have been trained in many useful skills such as: posing in front of the camera, catwalk, royal-living styles, behaviors, etc. Besides, the organizers also create conditions for contestants to participate in interesting experiences after training. Thereby, the candidates not only learn and improve themselves but also expose their qualities and personalities to help the jury evaluate more correctly and closely in the examination process.

The final round was held in Vung Tau from November 5 to 13, 2020 with many exciting activities and eagerly welcomed by local people and businesses. In the framework of Miss Vietnam 2020, Vung Tau is the place where the competitions of Sports Beauty, Fashion Beauties, Tourism Beauties, and Sea Beauty have taken place. Along with that are activities to promote the nature, landscape, culture and tourism potentials of the beautiful coastal city of Vung Tau. The contest nights were attended by many singers: Quang Dung, Le Quyen, Quang Le, Thu Phuong, Ho Quang Hieu, Huong Giang, Chi Pu, MLee, Nguyen Hong Nhung, MTV group. Besides, the event also was participated with Miss Tieu Vy, Miss My Linh, Miss America Duyen, Miss Luong Thuy Linh, Runner-up Phuong Nga, Runner-up Thuy An, Supermodel Nhu Van, etc.

The Final Night of the Miss Vietnam 2020 will take place on November 20 at the Phu Tho Gymnasium, Ho Chi Minh City, with the theme "A Decade of Beauties". The contestants' performances will be featured with many prominent faces: Binz, Duong Trieu Vu, Hoang Thuy Linh, Minh Tuyet, Phuc Bo, Runner-up Kieu Loan. Under the direction of General Director Hoang Nhat Nam, Miss Vietnam 2020 Final Night promises to bring many spectacular and explosive repertoire at the stage of the most beautiful beauty festival in Vietnam.

"A Decade of Beauties" marks the 10-year-long journey of Miss Vietnam, with the first Contest was being organized in 2010 with the theme "Thousand years of beauty". In the previous decades, Miss Vietnam spread the standard beauty, in the decade (2010 - 2020), the contest basically succeeded in enhancing the beauty of Vietnam when honoring modern beauty, the intellectual stature and compassion of Vietnamese women. Representing the beauty of this new era are 5 Miss Vietnam: Miss Ngoc Han (crowned in 2010), Miss Thu Thao (crowned in 2012), Miss America Duyen (crowned in 2014), United States. Miss My Linh (crowned in 2016), Miss Tieu Vy (crowned in 2018).
