March 18, 2026: The Election Committee prepares and sends the record confirming the election results of National Assembly deputies and provincial and communal People's Council deputies.
March 22, 2026: The provincial Election Committee prepares the record confirming the election results of National Assembly deputies, sending it to the National Election Council; sets the date for additional elections (if any).
March 25, 2026: Deadline for the National Election Council to announce the election results and the list of elected National Assembly deputies; Deadline for the Election Committee to announce the election results and the list of elected People's Council deputies at their level; Complaints about National Assembly election results are to be sent to the National Election Council, and complaints about People's Council election results are to be sent to the Election Committee, no later than 3 days from the announcement of election results.
March 28, 2026: The Election Committee reviews and resolves complaints about People's Council election results within 7 days from receiving the complaint; The National Election Council reviews and resolves complaints about National Assembly election results within 20 days from receiving the complaint.
March 30, 2026: The National Election Council prepares the summary record of the National Assembly election, sending it to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
April 4, 2026: Prepare the summary record of the People's Council election, sending it to the People's Council, People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee at the same and provincial levels.
April 5, 2026: Confirmation of the status of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies; Local election organizations carry out their tasks; The National Election Council performs its duties after the election results are announced.
April 6, 2026: The first session of the 16th National Assembly (20 days after the election - Article 92, Law on Organization of the National Assembly).
