Issuance of the National Program on Child Protection for the 2026-2030 period
WVR - The Government has just issued Decision No. 1415/QD-TTg regarding the National Program on Child Protection and the prevention and reduction of child labour violations for the 2026-2030 period (the Program).

The Program aims to ensure that all children live in a safe and healthy environment; reduce child abuse nationwide and create opportunities for children who are victims of violence, sexual abuse, illegal child labor, abandonment, and other special circumstances to integrate and develop comprehensively.
By 2030, the goal is for 100% of families with children to be provided with knowledge and skills on child protection through various means; 100% of students to be guided on knowledge, life skills, and self-protection skills against child abuse, school violence, online violence, and child labor prevention with age-appropriate content.
100% of civil servants, public employees, and child protection workers in health and education management agencies; medical facilities, social assistance facilities, educational institutions, and agencies and organizations responsible for child protection will have their capacities enhanced in child protection, and prevention of child abuse and child labor.
90% of active businesses, cooperatives, households, and service businesses will be provided with information, knowledge, and skills on preventing, detecting, and reducing child labor.
100% of provinces and cities will implement integrated child protection service models; 95% of communes will implement inter-sectoral child protection service models, and 100% of communes will establish friendly investigation rooms.
The rate of children subjected to violence and sexual abuse will be reduced by at least 5% annually; the rate of child labor (ages 5-17) will be reduced to below 1.1%; 100% of abused children, children at risk of violence, exploitation, or abandonment, when detected, will receive timely and appropriate support and intervention; 100% of legal assistance requests for children will be met according to legal regulations.

Among them, the Program requires updating, standardizing, and connecting shared child data with related database systems, ensuring information security and the protection of children's personal data; researching and implementing information technology applications in collecting, connecting, and sharing data on children at risk of violence, exploitation, abandonment, becoming child laborers; children subjected to violence; children subjected to sexual abuse and child labor.
