In her opening speech, Madame Le Nguyet Anh, spouse of Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, stated that since 2014, the International Culinary Culture Festival has transcended the framework of a regular exchange activity to become a symbol of friendship, sharing, and international solidarity in Hanoi.

Every booth, every dish, every cultural story told through flavours contributes to building bridges – where national values meet, where understanding blossoms, and where the friendship between Vietnam and international friends is nurtured with sincerity and compassion.

"This year's Festival takes place at a time when many localities in Vietnam are suffering significant losses due to natural disasters and floods. In the atmosphere of today's event, we are more inclined to think about and feel for our compatriots facing difficulties," Madame Le Nguyet Anh affirmed.

According to the spouse of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Festival 2025 holds a meaning beyond a cultural celebration – it is a humanitarian act, a message of goodwill, a testament to the power of international solidarity in challenging times.

"With the spirit of 'Connecting – Sharing – Spreading Love', this year's Festival gathers the attention and participation of Embassies, International Organizations, localities, and Vietnamese businesses. Your presence and cooperation today are the most vivid proof of the enduring friendship between the Vietnamese people and friends worldwide," Madame Le Nguyet Anh emphasized.

With the broad support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs leadership and all participating units, this year's Festival dedicates all contributions to supporting disaster-stricken areas. This is the core humanitarian value that the International Culinary Culture Festival always aims for: To make culture and cuisine the bond that connects hearts, allowing every act of sharing to transcend geographical and national boundaries.

Madame Le Nguyet Anh noted that this year's program holds special significance as it coincides with the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23. "This is a moment for us to reflect on and honour the diverse beauty of cultures worldwide – where each flavour not only evokes a homeland but also tells stories about history, customs, art, and the soul of each nation. A journey of flavours is a journey of memories, emotions, and mutual understanding," Madame Le Nguyet Anh said.

"In recent days, historic rains and floods have caused significant damage to people and property, leaving behind much loss and sorrow. More than ever, the spirit of 'mutual affection', the most beautiful value of the Vietnamese nation, needs to be awakened and spread strongly," Mrs. Ha Thi Nga emphasized.

On behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice President Ha Thi Nga called on participating units at the Festival to promote the spirit of compassion and support people in flood-affected areas. Whether financial contributions or material donations, large or small, every gesture is an invaluable encouragement to help people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
