Heads of Vietnamese Representative Mission for the 2025–2028 term visit Tuyen Quang

WVR - On March 6, the Heads of Vietnamese Representative Missions for the 2025–2028 term visited Tuyen Quang province to discuss the province's socio-economic development, explore directions for expanding international cooperation, and enhance connections between the locality and foreign partners.

Attending the event were Deputy Foreign Minister Ngo Le Van, Ambassadors and Consuls General of Vietnam abroad for the 2025–2028 term.

On the Tuyen Quang side, there were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of External Relations Nguyen Trung Thu; along with representatives of the province's departments and agencies.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Tuan provided an overview of the geographical position and development potential of the province.

Tuyen Quang is a land rich in revolutionary history. After merging with Ha Giang, the province became a northern border locality with over 277 km of border with China.

The province maintains relations with 11 localities and over 100 international partners. Currently, there are 25 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from 24 foreign investors with a total registered capital of about VND 7,000 billion; 5 ODA programs and projects, and 61 non-governmental aid programs with a total committed value of over VND 223 billion.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan shared that in recent years, Tuyen Quang's socio-economic growth has remained stable, the investment and business environment has gradually improved, and transportation and industrial infrastructure continue to be synchronously invested.

The province's foreign affairs have also been comprehensively implemented, maintaining cooperative relations with many localities and international partners, attracting foreign investment projects, ODA programs, and international aid.

In the future, Tuyen Quang prioritizes attracting investment in fields such as wood processing, agro-forestry products, supporting industries, renewable energy, and tourism.

The locality hopes that Vietnamese representative offices abroad will continue to support in promoting potential, connecting businesses, and attracting international investors to explore cooperation opportunities in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Ngo Le Van praised the close coordination and serious, open working spirit between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' delegation and Tuyen Quang's leadership.

The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the province's leaders and departments for sharing important information on socio-economic development and future international cooperation expansion directions.

The discussions at the meeting will serve as an important basis for the Heads of Vietnamese Representative Missions to actively promote Tuyen Quang's potential and strengths, while connecting with international partners to foster cooperation in economics, trade, investment, and tourism.

Accordingly, Vietnamese representative missions need to enhance the introduction and promotion of Tuyen Quang's image and potential; proactively connect with businesses, investors, and organizations in the host country to expand cooperation in investment, trade, tourism, agriculture, science – technology, and cultural exchange.

Additionally, the representative missions should regularly exchange information with the locality, promptly sharing market trends, cooperation opportunities, and potential partners in line with the province's development orientation.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative missions abroad will continue to accompany and support localities in effectively mobilizing international resources to serve socio-economic development and promote the country's international integration.

At the meeting, Nguyen Trung Thu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Tuyen Quang Department of External Relations, stated that the locality is focusing on development based on five pillars: transportation and urban infrastructure; high-quality distinctive tourism; specialty product processing agro-industrial chain; border trade economy and logistics; and innovation economy linked to digital transformation and human resource training.

Tuyen Quang proposes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs support expanding local-level international cooperation; promote the province's potential, advantages, and project list at international forums; connect with major corporations and businesses in logistics, renewable energy, and tourism; and support mobilizing ODA funds and preferential loans for infrastructure, digital transformation, and sustainable development projects.

Based on this, the locality hopes that Vietnamese representative missions abroad will assist in connecting investors, promoting specialty products, agricultural products, and tourism of the locality. This will contribute to attracting international resources and promoting the province's socio-economic development and integration.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Tuan acknowledged the contributions and suggestions from the Heads of Vietnamese Representative Missions Abroad for the upcoming term.

He stated that the province will assign the Tuyen Quang Department of External Relations as the focal point to regularly coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its functional units, as well as Ambassadors and Consuls General to enhance connections, thereby advising and proposing specific programs and projects to serve the province's foreign affairs.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Tuan also requested that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Heads of Vietnamese Representative Missions Abroad support Tuyen Quang in several areas such as foreign affairs orientation; connecting the province with foreign localities and businesses; and promoting Tuyen Quang's image, especially in tourism, agriculture, and attracting foreign investment.

Additionally, he hopes that Ambassadors and Consuls General will share experiences and support the province in implementing international cooperation activities.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Tuan extended his best wishes to the Ambassadors and Consuls General of Vietnam abroad for the 2025–2028 term, wishing them success in fulfilling their duties assigned by the Party and State.
