Hai Phong to Host Asian Rowing Championships 2025 this October

The port city of Hai Phong is set to host the Asian Rowing Championships 2025 from October 11 to 19, welcoming top rowers from across Asia.

The event will feature 232 athletes, together with officials and coaches from 18 countries.

Nguyen Hai Duong, Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Rowing and Sailing Federation, said preparations in Hai Phong are nearly complete, confirming Vietnam is ready to host international competitors.

The championships will comprise 40 events — 20 for men and 20 for women — organised by the Asian Rowing Federation in collaboration with the Vietnam Canoeing Rowing and Sailing Federation.

At the previous edition in Uzbekistan in 2024, Vietnam won two gold medals, two silvers and three bronzes, finishing fourth in the overall medal standings.
