This conference is the first ever one to promote Vietnamese regional localities to foreign community in 2018.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed leaders of Central ministries/departments and of Ha Giang provinces, ambassadors, foreign representatives in Vietnam, international and non-governmental organizations, foreign provinces’ representatives and business associations’ delegates to attend the conference.

Deputy FM stressed that this is the first time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and departments of localities have co-organized such conference to promote the strengths and features of provinces, especially of Ha Giang, to foreign friends. He also shared that promoting regional provinces and connecting localities with foreign communities are the priorities of the MOFA.                                                                

He hoped that through this event, the foreign embassies, foreign representatives in Vietnam, international and non-governmental organizations and business associations’ delegates will expand and establish cooperation with Ha Giang and also other provinces in Vietnam. He wished the conference success and to receive support from the people of Ha Giang, as well as from the foreign delegates.

Attending the event, Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh, Party Secretary of Ha Giang province also delivered his remark emphasizing Ha Giang’s role in international integration, which plays an important role in promoting socio-economic development.

He highlighted that besides the unique features and advantages of Ha Giang, the province “has been trying to overcome difficulties, improve its infrastructure, perform administration reform, improve business investment environment and the quality of human resources to advance the process of international integration of the province.”

On behalf of Ha Giang province, Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh also wished to receive foreign delegates to visit Ha Giang in the coming time and welcome organizations and investors to conduct field survey to study investment opportunities in the province.
