General Secretary To Lam noted that 2026 will be a significant year for both Vietnam and Jordan, as Jordan celebrates its 80th National Day and the Communist Party of Vietnam holds its 14th Congress, a pivotal event setting the direction for Vietnam's new era of development.
Praising the substantive outcomes of the discussions between King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and President Luong Cuong, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam and Jordan have great potential to further enhance cooperation, benefiting not only their peoples but also the ASEAN and Middle East regions.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized Vietnam's commitment to strengthening relations with Middle Eastern countries, including Jordan, which holds a crucial position in the region.
He stated that with shared policies of peace, independence, self-reliance, and cooperative development, Vietnam and Jordan will become reliable partners in their respective regions, leveraging each other's strengths to advance in development for the benefit of their peoples.

General Secretary To Lam also welcomed the large business delegation accompanying the King, contributing to the substantive success of the visit.
King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein expressed his high regard for this visit to Vietnam, agreeing with General Secretary To Lam on the current period's importance for the development of both nations.
The King expressed his condolences for the significant losses suffered by the Vietnamese people due to recent natural disasters.
Informing General Secretary To Lam about the specific and substantive outcomes of his discussions with President Luong Cuong, King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein affirmed Jordan's desire to enhance comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the private sector.
Additionally, the King expressed a wish for both sides to further strengthen political trust, expand cooperation in defense and security, share experiences and learn from each other in science and technology, and promote people-to-people exchanges to deepen mutual understanding.
On this occasion, King Abdullah II invited Vietnam to participate in the upcoming International Conference on Food Security that Jordan will host.

Regarding the major orientations for bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Jordan in the coming time, General Secretary To Lam and King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein agreed that in the context of complex global and regional developments, Vietnam and Jordan need to enhance cooperation to address new challenges.
The two leaders also agreed on specific measures to be implemented, including political-diplomatic, defense-security cooperation, and breakthroughs in economic, trade, and investment cooperation, particularly in agriculture, healthcare, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, energy, and tourism. They also emphasized the importance of supporting each other in multilateral forums, especially the United Nations, ASEAN, and regional organizations in the Middle East.
