FUNiX brings Korea's best learning materials on semiconductor to Vietnam

FUNiX just signed a partnership agreement with LetuinEdu - the number one semiconductor training institution in Korea, providing access to the best semiconductor training for Vietnamese learners and businesses.

According to the agreement, FUNiX and LetuinEdu will work closely together to bring semiconductor learning materials owned by LetuinEdu to online learning platforms accessible to Vietnameses, initially Udemy.

In Korea, one of the world’s semiconductor powerhouse, LetuinEdu is the first and only private provider of training catering towards semiconductor businesses. It has been the provider of semiconductor training programs for the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world. LetuinEdu also supplies training to 20% of members of the Korean Semiconductor Association.

The partnership between FUNiX and LetuinEdu promises to bring Vietnam access to the world's most advanced semiconductor training programs.

Participating in the recent signing ceremony were FUNiX Deputy Director Quach Ngoc Xuan; LetuinEdu CEO Kim Jun Ho; Partnership Director of New Ventures, Udemy Tran Khiem.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, LetuinEdu CEO Kim Jun Ho affirmed that the company is Korea's leading training institution in STEM. LetuinEdu's vast training experiences include: STEM training for more than 330,000 people, including students from over 50 Korean universities and workers from more than 4,000 Korean businesses; online and offline training program; a team of more than 200 instructors with industry experience of 15 years on average, nearly 80% of whom had worked at large corporations such as Samsung, SK Group, LG, etc.

Currently, LetuinEdu has nearly 400 online STEM courses, which have been used by top Korean universities. It has partnered with 44 universities with a high satisfaction rate, up to 4.75/5. It is also the publisher of the first specialized book on semiconductors, as well as many best-selling books on recruitment and interview in the semiconductor industry.

Sharing about the partnership with FUNiX, LetuinEdu representative said that the company is committed to providing online learning content and professional training services owned by LetuinEdu. "We will work closely with FUNiX to translate and localize learning content or services related to the semiconductor industry", LEtuiN CEO emphasized.

FUNiX Deputy Director Quach Ngoc Xuan expressed great appreciation of the partnership between the two companies. He pledged that FUNiX will support LetuinEdu in promoting e-learning content and services owned by LetuinEdu on online learning platforms, including the Udemy is for Vietnamese learners.

Through the partnership, FUNiX hopes to provide Vietnamese individual learners and businesses access to the world-class training contents on semiconductors, opening up further opportunities to businesses which want to advance in the industry but face challenges in finding quality human resources.

“With nearly 10 years of operation in the field of online training, the partnership of Udemy - the world's leading digital learning platform and the great experience of LetuinEdu, we hope to contribute to human resource development in Vietnamese semiconductor industry." - Quach said.

Vietnam is considered a potential market for chip and semiconductor manufacturing. According to the research company Technavio, the semiconductor market in Vietnam is predicted to grow by 1.65 billion USD in 2021-2025, a growth rate of about 6.5% per year.

The industry needs 10,000 engineers each year, but the current supply of talent only meets less than 20% of demand, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications.

By expanding access to quality learning materials, FUNiX - LetuinEdu partnership promises to contribute to widen the semiconductor talent pipeline, helping Vietnam integreate deeper into the global semiconductor value chain.
