French-born footballer Cao Pendant Quang Vinh granted Vietnamese citizenship

Cao Pendant Quang Vinh, a French-born footballer currently playing for the Hanoi Police FC, has officially received Vietnamese citizenship, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

The ceremony of citizenship conferment, granted by the President of Vietnam, was held at the Hanoi Department of Justice headquarters on March 28.

Expressing his emotions on this occasion, Vinh shared that today was a very special of his life — the day he officially became a Vietnamese citizen. He was born in France, but the Vietnamese part of his blood has always inspired him to dedicate to Vietnamese football.

He extended his deep gratitude to the President of Vietnam, the VFF, the Hanoi Department of Justice, and the Hanoi Public Security Department for their support in completing his application process.

"This is not just an honour but also a promise and a responsibility," he noted, pledging to devote all his talent and passion to serve the nation.

Speaking at the event, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu congratulated Vinh and expressed confidence that he will continue to leverage his skills and make valuable contributions to the Hanoi Police FC and Vietnamese football in the time to come.
