During the meeting, Foreign Minister Trung expressed his delight at the rapid and substantive development of the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He also appreciated and thanked Special Advisor Takebe for his dedication and efforts in promoting bilateral relations over the years, especially in cultural exchanges, people-to-people exchanges, local cooperation, and human resource training.

Special Advisor Takebe Tsutomu, expressed his pleasure at meeting Foreign Minister Trung again after their encounter at the "Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum" successfully hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Quảng Ninh at the end of November 2025.

Thanking the decisive guidance of Vietnamese leaders in advancing the progress of the Vietnam Japan University Project, as well as the support from Foreign Minister Trung for the university's activities, Mr. Takebe shared information about the recent achievements of Vietnam Japan University and discussed its future development directions.

Affirming that Vietnamese leaders are highly interested and wish for close cooperation with Japan to promote the establishment of Vietnam Japan University as a leading regional educational institution in the future, Foreign Minister Trung appreciated the recent positive developments of the Vietnam Japan University Project. He also acknowledged the university's vision and direction in training human resources for digital transformation and green transition, meeting the high-quality workforce needs of both Japan and Vietnam, especially in strategically important fields.

Foreign Minister Trung called on Special Advisor Takebe to promote stable job connections for graduates of Vietnam Japan University, support the enhancement of training quality, and create the necessary high-quality human resources to meet the needs of both countries, focusing on high-quality workforce training in semiconductors, digital transformation, and green transition.

Acknowledging the guidance from Foreign Minister Trung, Special Advisor Takebe Tsutomu, affirmed his continued efforts to contribute further to the development of the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the future.
