The parade and march at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day at Ba Dinh Square on September 2 will feature a full complement of forces, including aerial, and naval forces. Nearly 16,000 participants will be involved, comprising 43 marching units, 18 standing units, and 14 military vehicle units from the Army and Police. For the first time in 40 years since National Day 1985, military vehicles will participate in the parade at Ba Dinh Square.

The public units include: representatives of Vietnam's ethnic solidarity; representatives of 54 ethnic groups; veterans; former People's Police; workers; farmers; revolutionary press; intellectuals; entrepreneurs, women; overseas Vietnamese, youth, and culture and sports units. Since August 20, these public units have commenced their second training phase at My Dinh Stadium before joining the rehearsal, preliminary review, and final review with the armed forces.
After passing the grandstand at Ba Dinh Square, the parade units dispersed in various directions, marching through the central streets of Hanoi.

To prepare for this significant anniversary, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense invited several countries to send forces to participate in the parade. This rehearsal included the participation of three foreign military units: the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the People's Army of Laos, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
