Dien Bien gains nearly 1.9 trillion VND from tourist activities
The northern province of Dien Bien earned nearly 1.9 trillion VND from tourist activities from January 1 to May 7, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Since the beginning of this year, the locality welcomed more than 1 million visitors, including 4,800 foreigners.
From April 30 to May 7 alone, around 371,000 tourists visited Dien Bien to take part in various activities, in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Vu Thi Tuyet Nga, Director of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, reported that the museum greeted more than 330,000 visitors since the beginning of this year, and over 100,000 visitors from April 30 to May 7.
The figure is much higher than similar celebrations in previous years.
Accordingly, in 2024 and 2019, Dien Bien received roughly 587,000 and 477,000 arrivals who came to commemorate the 60th and 65th anniversaries of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, respectively.
