Chairing a year-end meeting related to the mechanism for review and implementation of the commitments and cooperation agreements signed since the 13th National Party Congress in 2021, Deputy Prime Minister Son stated that the Government always upholds the culture of implementation and the determination in implementing tasks.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the negotiation and signing of commitments and agreements show significant efforts by various ministries, sectors, and localities. It serves as a vivid testament to the success of high-level diplomatic activities and clearly affirms the role of foreign affairs in mobilising international resources to support the country's socio-economic development.

Recently, the number of international commitments and agreements signed during diplomatic activities has increased rapidly, he said, adding that the mechanism for review and implementation of the commitments and agreements helps spread the culture of implementation to ministries, agencies, and localities.

He noted that signing is just a beginning step, adding an important thing is to effectively implement the commitments and agreements, bringing benefits to both Vietnam and its partners.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the year 2025 is a crucial year for achieving the goals set forth by the 13th National Party Congress and preparing for the 14th National Party Congress. The signing and implementation of the commitments, agreements, and cooperation projects with partners is more significant than ever.

At the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said that the mechanism established in April 2024 has generated positive results. However, there remain limitations and shortcomings during the implementation process.

Specifically, he pointed out that the coordination and information exchanges among ministries, agencies and localities have not been effective as expected.
