Deputy FM Nguyen Minh Hang holds phone talks with GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi
On the morning of October 17, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang held a phone conversation with Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

During the call, Deputy Foreign Minister Minh Hang praised the role and contributions of the GCC Secretary-General in promoting cooperation between the GCC and its partners, while expressing gratitude for the Secretary-General's goodwill towards Vietnam.
The GCC Secretary-General congratulated Vietnam on its rising stature and notable socio-economic achievements. He expressed admiration for his meetings with the Prime Minister and affirmed that both he and the GCC highly value relations with Vietnam, considering it a priority partner for future relations.
Both sides were pleased to note the positive progress in Vietnam-GCC relations, especially following Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to GCC countries and recent visits by GCC leaders to Vietnam.
In this spirit, both parties expressed a desire to further promote comprehensive cooperation, particularly accelerating the initiation of negotiations for the Vietnam-GCC Free Trade Agreement, enhancing trade, investment, and science and technology cooperation, and strengthening GCC-ASEAN connectivity. Vietnam is ready to serve as a bridge, contributing to deepening relations between the two regions.
The GCC Secretary-General affirmed his readiness to support Vietnam in developing the Halal ecosystem, encouraging GCC businesses and investment funds to explore opportunities in Vietnam, and facilitating Vietnamese businesses to expand their presence in the GCC market.
Both sides agreed to maintain regular exchanges at all levels and closely coordinate to concretize the aforementioned priority cooperation areas for the benefit of Vietnam, the GCC, and the shared prosperity of the two regions.
