Da Nang launches app to help visitors easily access to public toilets

Deputy Director of the city’s Department of Information and Communications Tran Ngoc Thach said to search for free public toilets, local residents and tourists could download the Danang Smart City app, and then choose a facility close to their location.
The name of the facility, address, and distance will be shown on the app, he said, adding that 294 locations have been updated on the app, including 228 sites in the Hai Chau district and 66 in the Son Tra district.

In March this year, the People's Committee of Son Tra district deployed the "Comfort as home” model which has been actively responded to by many hotels, restaurants, and accommodation establishments, contributing to promoting the image of a friendly city.
Thach said that on June 1, the municipal Department of Information and Communications sent a written request to the People's Committees of districts calling on businesses, restaurants, hotels, and catering establishments to join the campaign and update the app to better serve local residents and visitors.
Danang Smart City is an integrating multi-service app that was put into use in 2020, with more than 1.2 million users. It provides useful information and consultation on administrative procedures and public services for local residents.
