This is the second evacuation after the first phase from December 4 to 6, bringing the total number of evacuated citizens to nearly 1,400. The entire cost of bringing citizens home was covered by the government.
Additionally, Vietnam also supported the evacuation of a Nepalese citizen from Myanmar.
Given the complex developments of the conflict in northern Myanmar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises citizens not to travel to these areas, to follow the guidance of the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar and local authorities; if in conflict-prone areas, take the initiative to evacuate people and property to safe areas; urgently contact Vietnamese authorities in case of needing assistance.
To ensure the rights and legitimate interests of citizens working abroad, citizens should be wary of invitations to work abroad with "light work and high salary," no degree requirements, no contracts, not through labor dispatch enterprises or organizations... to avoid becoming victims of labor exploitation, human trafficking, or illegal residency.
