Upon hearing about the shooting on December 14 at Bondi Beach, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, which resulted in numerous civilian casualties, on December 15, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a condolence message to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung sent a condolence message to Foreign Minister Penny Wong.
